Elvis 1956 "New Frontier Hotel Las Vegas"

Las Vegas, 1956. The King's very first steps in the city that would later become his kingdom. To convey the nostalgia and historical significance of these first shows at the New Frontier Hotel, pastels naturally came to mind. The velvety texture of pastels allows me to soften the contours, giving the portrait an almost dreamlike atmosphere, like a precious memory of the myth's beginnings.
